Research is a cornerstone of academic excellence in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. We are committed to promoting high-quality, ethical, and impactful research among our students and faculty. This page serves as a guide to help researchers choose appropriate journals for publication, understand the risks of predatory journals, and uphold the highest standards of scientific integrity.
Our goal is to support a culture of responsible research that contributes meaningfully to the scientific community and advances healthcare knowledge.

Understanding Predatory Journals
Predatory journals are publications that exploit researchers by charging publication fees without providing standard editorial and peer review services. They prioritize profit over academic quality, often accepting articles with little or no review, which can damage the credibility of your research and academic reputation.
Common signs of predatory journals:
Promises of very fast publication (within a few days).
Lack of a proper peer review process.
Poor website quality, with spelling and grammar errors.
Unclear or fake editorial board members.
Aggressive emails inviting submissions.
Hidden or unusually high article processing charges (APCs).
Why avoiding them is important: Publishing in predatory journals can make your work invisible to serious researchers, harm your academic profile, and waste your valuable efforts. Always take time to carefully check a journal before submitting your work.
